Are you ready to fully (re)experience the sporty side of free flight?

During this adventurous club trip, we will search for unique take-off sites that can only be reached on foot. After a healthy physical effort, we enjoy the beauty of nature and the ultimate freedom of flying.

We drive together to the landing area and then hike up to the take-off with our Hike & Fly equipment on our backs. The reward? A beautiful flight back to the landing zone, discovering the surroundings from the air.

For clarity: this is not a Vol-Biv trip. We sleep every night at a campsite or in accommodation and only carry our flying and hiking equipment during the ascent.

Who is this for?

• Pilot licence

• Good physical condition: able to hike 2 to 5 hours with a backpack of up to 10 kg

• Membership and valid insurance with the BVVF (no student insurance)

Equipment

• Own paragliding equipment

• Lightweight gear recommended, or excellent physical fitness

• Light and warm clothing (light for hiking, warm for flying)

• Camelbak / hydration system, energy bars

• Telescopic trekking poles (optional)

Local transport, if required, is not included.

Insurances

BVVF paragliding equipment

Mandatory.  Anyone participating in an Airsport club activity must be a member of the Belgian Free Flight Federation (BVVF) and be insured through the BVVF. Please note: the student insurance taken out for trainees during the training programme (school slopes and courses) is not sufficient. Insurance via a foreign free flight federation is also not sufficient to participate in Airsport training activities.

Travel assistance insurance

Recommended. Insurance covering medical assistance and/or repatriation if needed. Medical assistance is not included in the BVVF paragliding insurance. Travel assistance insurance with Europ-Assistance is available from €18.

Cancellation insurance

Recommended. If you are unable to participate in the trip (medical issues, major unforeseen events, etc.), cancellation insurance allows you to reclaim your registration fee easily. The best option is offered by Europ-Assistance and can be combined with the travel assistance insurance above. Cancellation insurance is available from €15.
